It can refer to being super into studying, being socially awkward, or having "wholesome" tastes. In some contexts it also means someone is bland or overly proper (like they're afraid to break rules). In Mexico and parts of LatAm it's common to hear it as playful labeling: "soy bien ñoño." It's less about intelligence and more about vibe.
"Ñoño" does not mean show-off, childish and immature, party animal. It specifically means "Nerd, geek".
